Thank You for Making The New School’s Virtual 30th Anniversary Celebration a Success!

The evening was filled with walks down memory lane, catching up with old friends and teachers, and a sense of everyone sharing a special connection.

We are truly grateful for everyone who was able to share this special evening with us. You are what made all of the planning and changing course because of the pandemic worthwhile.

And because of everyone’s generous donations through ticket sales, raffle ticket sales, sponsorships, and donations, $16,895 was raised to support students and teachers through The New School Fund!

Thank you again for all of your support, and for being part of The New School family.

Want to relive part of the evening? Weren’t able to attend and want to catch up on what you missed? Videos that debuted during the event are now available to watch on The New School’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC32zn407jpdPo32cD-0euZA

Virtual 30th Anniversary Event Info

When we postponed the 30th Anniversary Celebration we had every hope that the large in person gathering we envisioned would be able to be safely held by the Spring. As time has gone on and we’ve learned more about COVID-19 and the safety measures it requires, it’s become clear that large in person celebrations will be one of the last things that return once the country starts to move towards more normal day-to-day living.

Instead of continuing to postpone the 30th until we could hold it safely in person, we’ve decided to come together and celebrate now, virtually. This will be a chance for The New School community to spend time together, catch up with old friends and teachers, and support one another during this time when we could all use some human connection. You’ll even have the chance to see one another “face-to-face.”

Tickets will go on sale January 15th, with all ticket sales supporting teachers and students through The New School Fund.

We can’t wait to see you!

We are celebrating the 30 year history of The New School, and you can be a part of it!

You can contribute by:

  • Sending us your New School photos. You could see your photos on this page or on our Facebook page!
    • Tell us when the photo is from, who is in it, and any other information you’d like to include.
  • Sending us a short video of yourself talking about what The New School means to you.  You could see your video (or a snippet of it) on this page or on our Facebook page!
    • Please shoot horizontally.
    • Please keep videos short (up to 30-45 seconds).  This will help ensure we are able to post them.  You are invited to send in multiple short videos if you’d like to answer more than one question from our prompts!
    • You can use these prompts to help guide you when you film your video:
