I have been the Resident Artist of The New School for over 25 years. Before that I worked as an illustrator, fine artist, graphic designer, and art instructor for 20 years. I define my role with students as a resource, mentor, coach and confidant who creates a community of equality and trust. I believe students are more likely to express themselves uniquely, and gain a sense of themselves, when they create an object that represents their existence. It is my duty to continue being a fine artist, modeling my own creative process. My modeling is a subtle, playful, and deep approach to imparting knowledge and the creative process to the students.
